There is nothing in the regulations prohibiting the use of Personal Conveyance during the mandated 30-minute rest.
As long as the use is qualified as per the Guidance and recent clarification regarding Personal Conveyance, there is no reason you cannot use Personal Conveyance on your 30 minute break. A perfect example is if you decide to drive somewhere for lunch.
Can i use personal conveyance in lieu of 30 min break?

I wonder if I could pull over for my 30 minute break, 5 minutes later decide that there is a better place to do this up the road in the direction of my customer and use PC to get there.

Good point Tb, I read it the opposite. @Russian Rabbit , could you clarify a bit more. What do you want to do during the time of personal conveyance?

I think....
If your under load & are moving your load along, you can not use PC for part of your break, but.....
If you drop your trailer, go onto PC, go get dinner 10 miles down the road, PC is part of your 30 minute break in that case.Last edited: Jan 11, 2019
Tb0n3 Thanks this. -
Also if you drop your trailer at a company yard en route, say for your 10 hour break or 30 minute break, you could PC out the gate and do your own thing and return to base to pick up the trailer and move on.
Matt43324 and deathB4decaf Thank this.
