see if jet set wasn't slipseat I might do it but I would rather stay in the same truck. I kinda wish when I joined Shaffer I had a bit of a choice on a truck. I was first given s 17 10sp international which I managed to get them to switch me into this 15 automatic frieghtliner

Was asked why post all the Crete wrecks here....because it might make a driver think twice...about taking chances in bad weather.. no load is worth a wreck..or worse.. FB_IMG_1547430226708.jpg

The daughter of the Shaffer driver that blew over near Rawlins (lost dog) posted an update. Her dad was fired. Don’t know any specifics, but thinking that no matter how much pressure to make otd if anything happens it’s all on you.

that's the Creaffer way, if you're late, it's on you....if you have something like that happen, it's on you. If you stop due to weather and tell dispatch, especially if it's after normal business hours or on the weekend, they #####, complain and pressure you to get moving(by questioning your skill level and experience). Their hypocritical b.s. is one of the reasons I left those ########.

I was told they don't plan loads based off weather. That is the dumbest thing to do in this industry. I had to tell them last week multiple time to keep me away from the Northeast because of that snow. Then finally they sent me down to Florida

I wish that was my case I’ve been with Crete since march of 2013 I’ve been out west quite a bit during chain season I have chains but won’t put them on too much of a headache

I'll put it this way..any office clown wants to tell me how and when to drive my trk in inclement weather especially snow and ice, then they can come drive it then otherwise put it where the sun don't shine...

I used to love getting Florida loads, especially Tampa.
