No air pressure in secondary tank

Hi guys, im having similar problem on a volvo, my air gauges keep up air cuts out at 120 psi but no air on air bags, seat, breaker on shift. Im stumped! I have put in new dryer, governor... anyone please help

 

Do you have air in the secondary tank itself or no? Have you pulled the drain on the tank to verify that you do?
What’s the weather like where you’re at? It could be as simple as a piece of ice (or other debris) lodged in a line coming out of the secondary tank.

 

Hey, thanks for responding, funny thing is the i have 3 tanks, first one wet tank, seems to have more air than the other 2. But, on my gauges shows i have full air could it be the valve in the wet tank?

Also, when does the little hose from dryer start pumping air, coz i started truck and no air coming out at dryer to small hose?

 

Yes, you have a wet tank, primary tank, and secondary tank. Secondary should be the last one on the circuit.

When you say small hose, you mean do you mean the one coming from the air governor, or is your governor mounted directly to the dryer?

Okay, so there’s a line coming from your tanks to the air dryer. When the air pressure in that line reaches cut out pressure (115 - 130 psi or so), the governor opens up, and send air out of two lines. One line goes to the compressor to close the outlet to the discharge line and put the compressor in an unloaded state until it drops to cut in pressure (which should be no more than 25 psi below cut out pressure). The other line is the one which goes to the dryer, and that closes the outlet to the tanks and initiates the purge cycle. That’s when it gets charged with air.
