Where the h**l do I find my 11 digit taxpayer ID? My EIN is only 9 digits. The IFTA webfile system is asking for an 11 digit taxpayer ID number though. It will not accept my EIN number nor my social. Anyone know what to do here? And yes I know it isn't the end of the quarter yet, I am having to deal with some issues that my compliance agency did not do correctly.

Past taxes or 1099.

Try adding two zeros in the front of your EIN

That didn't work either. Only numbers on my previous tax papers are my social security. I didn't get my EIN until recently.

Call the state and ask.

Just got off the phone with them. Apparently it is my EIN with a 1 in front of it and another number at the end of it. Why does the gov have to be so stuck up in everybody's business?! Would be so much less stressful to do business in this country without them sticking their nose into every possible aspect of what we do.

Could it be a number that your state has assigned to your account? IFTA is filed through your home state, so that is the only thing I can think of.

I got it figured out. Thanks
Oxbow Thanks this. -
