Kind of, but a simpler way. Basically, the surface charge needs to be removed. Simply turning on the headlights for about 30 seconds with the engine NOT running will accomplish this.
A better way to test batteries is with a carbon pile load tester, but those are getting hard to find.

The build weight on this was 18,202 lbs.
My empty weight full of fuel was 33,760 lbs.
68" sleeper, DD13, DT12, all wheel disk brakes, full cabinets inside including the deep backwall, rigmaster apu and 3 door headache rack and 100 gallon tanks.
This weight is identical to my '16 Cascadia with DD15, 13 speed, open headache rack, drum brakes and 120 tanks. -

Truck was 134k before fet and add-ons. I had a 3 door headache rack and an apu done with the deal. Total with fet was around 162k. No fet on apu.PoleCrusher and RStewart Thank this.
