Whenever they load a trailer on the railroads pick up the axles are hanging on the air bags during the lifting and set on railway, no air supply to trailer while rides on the railway ,looses all air due to swaying rides several hundred miles deflated air bag take a beating .spring ride no problems

Honestly, when they are brand new like most of Mercers trailers it don't matter much...but the only complaint I had with Hyundai's was the rear frame seemed to flex more than the Great Danes....like if you were on a sideways slant, you couldn't get the doors to close/latch. But the undercoating looked to be superior and they had the galvanized icc bumpers.
The new Great Danes have the Brake Safe like devices with arrow that shows your brakes are adjusted and I think most all the trailers have the tire auto inflatation.

Sounds like from what I've been reading the resale value on those aren't good either... Surprised they dont get more Wabash... I've hauled lots of flat loads to them for Mercer. Keep them jobs here in America not Mexico ;)

@pete1990 ... maybe this has all ready been discussed, in any case, my brother had a flat he was buying from mercer and this company bought it. how the financials worked out exactly, i don't know. i do know the balance owed mercer for the trailer was satisfied.

I don't know what's going on, I know this might be a broken record but something else is going on... Freight is horrible, rates are horrible..I don't see things changing in a matter of weeks. People say you make more pulling a flat then a Van but that's not true..a slow season like this evens everything out I'm sure. Mercer needs to hire some more proactive agents as well

I was able to get a trailer. They just put new tires on it also. Some very nice tires at that yokohama 567 i think? Low RR tires so thats gonna help MPG:p They said they have about 500 Drop and hook trailers and soon its gonna be about 600. But right now they are running short on Van trailers.
