I totally agree. I was just curious to see the price difference from the 750k liability and the 1M liability. The 1M liability put me OVER $41K FOR THE FIRST YEAR. Roughly TWICE what most other people are getting quotes for. I'm still gonna continue getting quotes and will post those as a comparison in hopes that I can help other potential new O/O's know what to expect up front. For most, this would be a dealbreaker before you get any further. Leasing on is looking really good right now....

My agent at progressive put in the contract that I had my cdl and authority for over 3 years
    That was false just lies
I think I made some good savings

No, that's what I was quoted from Progressive. I would not pay that or even close and hopefully no one else would either. I'd love to get my own authority but I'd lease on forever before I paid that.

Ok, quote # 2 is from OOIDA. Their quote is $30,000 cheaper for the year with only a $1300 down payment as opposed to Progressive's down payment of $8565. I swear I'm not making this stuff up! I don't know whether to curse or laugh hysterically.

Keep in mind that OOIDA is not A.M. Best rated. So some brokers will not work with you. For your first year, it may be okay. However, if you can, you want to get insurance with at least an A rating from A.M. Best.

    AM Best Company

To search your insurance company, you may need to create an account with them. It’s free.

So? That is only like $17k after the tax deduction. It is worth it to have my ### in good hands lol.
