So it fails traction and tried to pull over during steamboat descent on ice.
It's only going to slide, slide and slide for miles to the bottom. It will probably come across the whole highway and close it. It will be royally effed for longer than it needs to be.

I have 2 concerns about autonomous trucks.
1) where will the money come from to revamp this whole industry to support this? The states and federal government can’t fix the infrastructure we have now because of no money.
2) does mom dad and family really want to lookup at a big truck and see no driver riding alongside them? And whose going to blow the air horn when little johnnie gives the arm signal?
Just my thoughts.SteerTire, Blackshack46 and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
1. This is the main reason I well not see fully autonomous trucks in my lifetime.
2. They will not notice as their autonomous car will be driving and they will be too busy Facebooking or movie watching to notice.Farmerbob1 and JohnBoy Thank this. -
The road was solid white with 3-4 of fresh snow. I’m guessing there’s X-ray vision onboard.
It also hard braked for a mile post in a curve, to avoid a collision.
I can’t wait for the new P5 with assistive steering to come out. Then we can really watch the s###show.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
Well I guess the beginning to the end is here.
Embark is already running freight with driverless trucks. It still has a driver in the seat but it’s starting.
Get ready for minimum wage drivers -

If you are new to the industry and still young that would be a good path for employment, we all know some sort of system will be in use soon. Noticed in Denver they are setting lights and cars up with wifi and are advertising if you want a more seamless commute you invest in ? . It is coming, it is a logical step with technology and all us aged farts will be a road bump.
