I got to the yard yesterday morning and went to the show for the first time. It was pretty cool and actually found a few useful things and got some ideas. Mercer bought lunch, a ribeye sandwich and a med drink. All in all it was a good way to spend a Saturday layover

I know what you mean pulled in and 2 told me that I couldn't park here or there saving for friends with big house who like to camp together, I think I was rude to them!any way don't have to worry about the next year I'll park elsewhere ,and maybe work elsewhere I have lost that warm and fuzzy feeling!

But I have met some good people at the yard, several that I talk to semi-regularly, but the group of ''holier than thou" who 'live' there are quite annoying and are to be avoided at all cost... I'm sure they are the same ###hats from the Facebook group, wasn't on long enough to connect the dots.

Over the years I have learned not to trust a lot of places that say they can do certain work. I have seen trailers break apart, kingpins and fifth wheel risers fail, all installed by "someone" that can weld. I have zero liability if a part fails made by the trailer manufacturer and isntalled by a qualified dealer. I have no need to try to cut corners to save a few bucks. Even one of my good friends who is a certified welder (Boilermaker) and does welding in nuke plants said he wouldn't touch a job like this. I guess it is a how much responsibility and liability you are willing to be exposed to. As I see it, being able to make it, and making it right as well as accepting full liability should anything ever happen, that is two different things. I prefer to err on the side of caution. It's all in the course of routing maintenance as far as I'm concerned, like I said it was on my schedule of things to do this year.
