IMG_20180204_175128.jpg All from Wally world, all 8 yrs old, bought the same day. I looked at my bookkeeping spreadsheet and they were purchased March 10 2010. The truck can sit 4 days with the fridge running on 4 yr old batteries and still start fine. Can't run the oven and microwave at the same time but other than that this setup works great.

What kind of batteries are you using? I just put a set in mine from Oreillys and I think they’re already toast. Was thinking about trying AGM.

I'll bet it won't last half as long as the original. Might want to see about rebuilding it. Or sell original to me.

That Haier unit will last 1 or 2 years. Refrigerant lines will be cracked from truck vibration or compressor will be seized.

I actually have a lot of experience with batteries, and alternative energy stuff. There are only a handful of companies in the entire world that make TRUE deep cycle batteries, only one here in the US. Almost ALL of the batteries you see in Auto stores and boat/marine sales outfits (trolling motor batteries) are MODIFIED starting batteries labeled as "deep cycle". You actually need a separate battery bank if your serious about long term engine off time. It can be charged with the engine alternator using the correct charging and separation electronics and controls, or an APU. Also, in spite of what any battery salesman might spew out, I have never seen an AGM that could outperform an ordinary flooded cell battery size for size and weight for weight. You also need special charging algorithms for either AGM, or gel. You can also get auto-watering systems for flooded cell batteries so they are almost maintenance free. The so called maintenance free batteries usually die because they dry up over several years. Their internal catalyst system isn't perfect and they will very slowly loose water.

Reviewed their website and energy curves!
As an ex-electrician, I am highly impressed!
Far more efficient than any of the thermoelectric ice chests they sell at truck stops.

You'll need first aid for your wallet though.
