I started driving in 1993 and my trainer gave me the handle “Lost n Found”. According to him I could always follow the directions into a shipper or receiver but I could never find my way back out to the big road. He was correct. I’ve gotten somewhat better over the years but the name stuck.
Do you have a CB “handle”? How did you come up with it?

Lazarus
In 1995 was deadhead going onto PA turnpike ramp in freezing rain. Woman in old Olds 88, lost control, slammed into my tractor front fender. I went into a jackknife, slid off the ramp and rolled over. Woke up in hospital 3 days later. Everyone at the jobsite started calling me this, cuz I rose from the dead (a miracle) and survived. Wife for some reason just started calling me dumba**. -
There was a story somewhere, I forget the exact origin, a trucker was hit vs a telephone ma bell service truck. Whatever handle trucker had prior to that hit was totally forgotten. Now the new handle for him is "Ring a Ding" forever and ever.
Sometimes people want my attention and they latch onto the hearing aids on me. HEY EARPLUGS... YES YOU.
With 50 people in the room it's not hard for me to figure out it's ME they want.
Please be very careful about that. If it is Mr Big you seek don't go saying "Hey TINY!" Not unless you have the constitution to stand up to the pending abuse you are about to receive. (Be thankful...) -
Cotton Pony, because I'm always OTR.
