They sure did do away with that idle policy! New pay plan too. No more 90 day settlement. It's now paid out every calendar month.
Frank Speak Thanks this. -
Maybe there’s hope for them yet. Maybe, they’ll fill in the pot holes (or at least the ones that are at least 20 years old) in the yards.

In Brooks they use gravel that would be best descrbed as Rip Rap or leech rock instead of 3/4 ag road base. Frank, you are right on with your description. I want to mention that l did complete 2 lease purchase contracts (one at a time) and got clear title in my name both times. May is fair and honest in their business dealings. I took a chance with L/P there after talking to as many owner operators as l could. One guy paid his truck and went home to Montana to work local. There were many that owned their trucks and stayed with May rather than go somewhere else and start at the bottom of seniority.
I ran the old Pete in my avatar until Sept 1991pulling a flatbed under my own PUC permit mostly in Calif with an occasional load sneaked to/from Southern Oregon or Nevada.Last edited: Apr 16, 2019

Yea there is a new pay plan for "new" drivers. The drivers who were already there weren't even told about it and have gotten nothing.Frank Speak and Rocknroller4 Thank this.

Move on and make more money. I understand your hesitation. It is greener on the other side. About 15k to 20k greener annualy.smokey12 Thanks this.

Used to be you had to have 9 months experience to train. Now they seem to be following the megas. 3 to 6 months...you can train. It's a recipie for disaster....They just refuse to pay for experience and a clean record. I tried every way I could to stay there, as the main terminal is 5 Mile's from home. They don't care and the answer is always no. They make their money on newbies and their business model is set up as such. I'm making about 30k more per year after leaving.

Move on where?

They are if they take advantage of ex cons. Giving them a genuine chance is good.
