Hurry #### you, get that trailer 4141 out of there NAOW. (This one is a female dispatcher, a supervisor who has a special screechy voice when she says Naow. It's like chalk being driven across a blackboard badly hurting the ears for those who can hear.

Hold on to your desk lady, you will get that #### load it's not due for three days yet only need two.

Stomped out of my tractor at the drop yard grabbed 1414 demanded and got papers and roared off. A little birdy in my brain kept squawking about that drop lot agent questioning my particular trailer. But that was the trailer and thats that. enough already all this noise lets GO.

Deep in the woods of a fly over state I get a beep on the qualcomm.

"What trailer do you have?"

1414 why?

PAUSE. 1414?

Y E S. What part of 1414 don't you understand.

For those who don't understand the little words mean call me to dispatcher who by now is shaking with righteous rage at how stupid I have been today and am about to unload verbally whats best never to be put into the poor satellite system. If our Dear Lord should listen a little bit to that type of language flowing back and forth the whole system should ignite on it's own...

(I was supposed to get 4141. But was blind with temper having lost it. Took me a day to stew.... while a chinese fire drill raged in the office as the situation developed badly.)

Sometimes people must fail mentally or emotionally in this industry. When they do it takes a State Mental Hospital to help them get a grip. It will be a while. If you loved yourself at all, you learned to figure out what you enjoy most in life on off duty and get right to it. I had a habit of spending a hour or two being taught how to sail a small rental, a tiny little thing. But it will dump you into the water if you did not do it correctly.

I should get to the east coast and get that out of my system, it's been too many years. I'll be sure to rent a tiny boat this time. With a instructor who is patient. Might have to reward with seafood or something some place.

 

I think in California it’s because employees can’t work more than 40 hours so they still get food stamps and assisted living from the government. If they did work overtime and earn a living wage then capitalism works and that would just be anarchy!

 

Can't have shareholders jumping out of windows.
