What is the story on becoming a long haul trucker?

    Yeah I seen that after I made the comment but I decided to leave the comment up anyways. Because as you know there might be another driver behind him that has the same question that tends to happen quite often like Trucking it's redundant

    Part of the reason most large companies want drivers to have a fair amount of OTR training is that it exposes you to lots of regional flavors of road stupidity and weather.

    Pennsylvania toll exchanges and interstate on/off ramps. Texas frontage roads. Wyoming wind. Great Lakes snow effect. Arizona dust storms. California mountains. East Coast cities designed for horse and wagon transport.

    OTR training is meant to let you experience lots of new and different things with an experienced driver next to you to help you figure out the stupid crap you will encounter.
