Went in and filled out an application with them the other day and wow is all i can say. The guy that owns the place did the interview and such and during the discussion he informed me that his priority was getting loads delivered and that his trucks were very worn out. He said the speedometers on the trucks dont work but that that wasnt a safety issue so he didnt care to fix it. All the trucks had cracked fenders and were single screw day cabs that looked like they should have been scrapped 10 years ago. Also , i didnt get a road test because the clutch was out of the only truck there that actually ran.
I guess the company used to be called Freight Taxi as well.

Glad I saw this. I just drove in there to get an app and don't think I will bother to fill it out. What a dump!
Intothesunset Thanks this. -
That's when I would have got up and walked out. I value my clean record too much to work for a crook.
I have a feeling that could also be an attempt at tax evasion. If nobody can prove how many miles a truck ran, than maybe this guy thinks he won't have to pay road taxes.
Another reason to run and not look back.Intothesunset and mjd4277 Thank this. -
Thank you very much I would definitely agree because I had the very same speach job interview and I never went back even after being hired on the spot because of the ugliest trucking company Trucks I've ever seen for a local Truck Company. Wow like seriously this place was a dump! I thought exactly the same this should be a scrap metal yard because the equipment looking horrible and so I ran away and never returned!Intothesunset Thanks this.

Dang I may have to swing by and check them out.
Kinda like when a buddy says "Hot dang! That there is an ugly broad!" and you feel the need to see what caused that reaction........ -
The things some of these companies do to reduce the amount of the IFTA tax they pay. When I worked for WE the odometer would roll back after completing a load.
Intothesunset Thanks this. -
I was kind of desperate so went with them. Survived 3 years. Very glad to be gone. The previous reports of shoddy equipment are accurate. They fail to mention, though, just how messed up management is. It seems they set you up to fail, rather than succeed. Stay away

I bet they don’t have a single Kentuckian there.

4.5 miles from my house but I have a rule about working for outfits with postage sized dirt lots. Just don't.
