I think he was just trying to say that a little bit of trip planning goes a long way.

You would be amazed by the sheer number of idiots that classroom training failure keeps from joining us on the road.

Seriously. People who can't add, subtract, read maps, or even read words.

Removing classroom training would put even more of the stupidest people on the planet into trucks.

Me, I am more than happy if they fail out of CDL school before they have a chance to kill people with a truck.

Those of us who have experienced severe wounds or accidents may, in fact know how we will react.

For example, under extreme stress, I think clearly. Perhaps no more quickly than others, but clearly.

I would have been in that emergency ramp, or, failing that, I would have found something else to hit, other than 4-wheelers.

I would have taken my chances smashing into bridge supports and/or trying to lay the truck on it's side before choosing to kill other people.

I would have rear-ended that other semi before running over 4-wheelers if the barriers were too high to climb.

Why? Because I would eat a bullet within a couple months if I knew that I intentionally chose to kill other people to save my own ###. No way I could live with myself if I make that choice. Might as well not kill the other people in the first place.

Well we don't want that crap out here. Have you seen this personally, I just can't believe somebody who can't do a little basic math or even read would even try to get into a truck.

    PoleCrusher and Farmerbob1 Thank this.

    But, but...

Then the aforementioned stupids wouldn’t be able to pay their loan back, and we couldn’t possibly have that.

You would be surprized how many drivers have ask me in New Mexico, how many states they still had to go through to get to Cali. These were the english speaking ones, there were others that I had no clue what they were asking. lol

I've had them ask if they needed a passport to go through New Mexico.

Actually quite a few people thought it was a foreign country, but the worst was when they were having the olympics in Salt lake city, called to get tickets and was told we would have to buy tickets in our own country for them. geesh.

PoleCrusher, Farmerbob1 and kemosabi49 Thank this.
