Actually I think Rocks is lucky enough to not get lied to very much because of where she works. At least not near as often as folks who work for most outfits.

I parked the truck at last destination October 25th in Sydney Maine. I had offered to get a load that would be driven as far as the yard in Tennessee.
Dispatch countered with an offer of drive with us for two more weeks and we will try to route you to the yard. For two months I had been asking whem were they to pay me. Each time it was next week. Or we cant find you in the system. I drove more than 20k miles for free. I was told I would see a paycheck weekly of at least $800. When they did pay me it was a mere $1300. Oh and the markets were imploding in the fall of 2008.
When I did get paid there were about $3000 worth of deductions. Nope, not returning to them. They soaked me $25 for requesting trailer maintenance or flat repair (of which they wouldnt send repair but had to haul the broken trailer to a garage for repairs). Charged me for tire failures. Had a trailer that was so badly aligned that after driving it for 2 hours it had scuffed all the treads off and was down on the wires. They didnt want to do a road call and had me haul it some 25 miles back up the road to a garage. When it got there the casings had all exploded and it needed rims too. Yup interesting company.
They didnt pay me until mid November. A neighbor in the summertime whom had stock in them, sold off their stocks and gave me $400 and thanked me for letting him know what kind of company he didnt want to invest inLast edited: Apr 30, 2019

When I did get it home from Mass. The first thing I did was to wash it. Observe the gas tank being two different colors. Also the rust is gone that was at the door.

If anyone cares. This is how far we are into spring here in Maine. Lawns are beginning to green and all the trees have tiny green buds on them.
Rocks, 062, otterinthewater and 1 other person Thank this. -
If it was like that now I’d be out of there like I was shot out of cannon!! You’re a better man than me, I wouldn’t put up with that for a week without getting paid.
My DM asked if I wanted a load back to Maryland yesterday. I told him if he needed me to do it I would. He said it’s a a really good load there, but then you’ll get three ####ty loads before you get routed back. Did I have any other reason to go there? He’s like a travel agent sometimes. He said staying here I’ll get six good loads in the same time frame and will make $XXXX more.
Love that dude.Rocks, Feedman, homeskillet and 1 other person Thank this. -
I did have a good DM at one time. Tony something. I swear he was a basketball star. Stood 6'8". Yes everyone got to look up to him.
It was the weekend DM that was a interesting piece of work. Terrible loads with alot of dead head miles, Stuff Rocks would have avoidedchopper103in, otterinthewater, homeskillet and 1 other person Thank this.
