Finally got my own truck

I had to thank this because i got a good laugh from it. Lolol.

 

The point is, every month that goes by I see
More of them and less of you.
There gonna put all you America owner ops and leased
Drivers out of business.
Do you not open your eyes going down
The road. That's dam near all you see out
Here anymore.
Won't be long,there gonna be taking your
Loads for 30 percent less.
And the brokers could care less who pulls it.

 

Don't worry. Their trucks will fall apart before it happens.

 

Interesting hijack. Looking forward to this new addition.

 

Not completely off base, seems more and more tucks you pass are mega fleets and most of the independents these days speak no English.. look around the truck stop tonight before you call me crazy..

 

I don’t know about all the new stereotypes. I’ve been fighting the old ones so long. But now that it’s been mentioned. I was talking to my neighbor where I Park. Told Him I thought He was Russian, He replied He thought I was Arabic. We both thought each other couldn’t speak English!!! Either way We are the minority’s at the Yard, anyway.

 

Everyone wants to complain about this that and the other. How about instead of rate chasing, we are out there building stronger business relationships with the brokers and shippers we service day in and out. Those in a low / no debt, cash position will survive almost any down turn. Capacity has been on the increase over the past year and the market is adjusting (supply is catching demand). Those with strong relationships are still getting reliable and good paying freight. Those that have 100 brokers they use this year rate chasing, and 100 new different brokers next year will be the ones sitting for days waiting on that $$$ load that never comes.

 

I’m stuck right now. It usually never happens. But my load for Today cancelled yesterday morning. I didn’t get the message, was busy running the last load, buying parts and sleeping.Bottom line is it’s my fault. The Broker has always been Great to deal with over 14 yrs now. They’ve created loads for Me at times in the past, and will in the future. Meanwhile, I say, No problem I’ll find something, no big deal. And it’s dead as can be, Lol. So now I’m 1000 miles from home with a new Clutch sitting in the bunk, that was going to be installed at home.Already got a Wed load set up at home.Its a downright disaster. Oh well, Glad I don’t have a Truck pymt. I’ll survive.

 

Dude put it in the wind and get home. Monday is a holiday, volume will be almost non existent.

 

My wife’s with Me, we’ll do some touristy stuff. Get a room tomorrow, go swimming. Do a little work on the Truck. And rest.
