This doesn't sound like it's just a load that pays that much to a driver with their own truck, it's a 1099 company where you drive their truck for that much. Still, anyone who works for a 1099 company deserves what they get in terms of hassles and IRS headaches.

 

A simple change from one form of 1099 to a nice simple form called W2 would have me all over the job as a employee for a dollar a mile. I'll drive the most thickest carpeted dash rig in chiraq for that kind of money.

(Ick... you follow me well enough) And my deafness wont matter to them speaking a different language as long they pay me in Benjamin.

Some pay it, but they are cheating us drivers, it is actually 1012 miles and they are only paying 1000 bucks.
I guess since they pay by the trip, it really isn't cheating. lol

 

That's been going on forever, they take the mileage from the household movers mileage book, where that mileage comes from is," as the crow flies", air miles, or some kind of ####amaymee(spell checker didn't know where to go with that word)configuration.

 

You know this is was too funny. I worked in a truck shop as a mechanic for a lil while and every and I mean EVERY Volvo was driven by a Eastern European dude. I never knew that was a thing outside of Tampa. They would buy rusty piece of #### Volvo's from NY and come crash them in Florida then not want to pay anything to fix them because they have no money. Had to replace many a fuel tank/skirt/sleeper wall due to jack knifed Volvo's. Sorry for the rant but I found it kinda funny that my experience seemed to line up with the ones other people have had.

 

All the Cubans in Florida are driving old Freightliner fld , and classic trucks.
I love those trucks.
