Hey there, all. Still slowly recovering from surgery on 5/7. Just got caught up on the news here and it sounds great! Had a little bit if a speed bump that required a second hospital stay but healing...abscess near the rectum so they inserted a drainage tube into right buttock and I'll have that another week or two. Pay raises sound great! Sent Tony an email update, said he had 5 trucks sitting and 5 for orientation on Monday. Welcome to the new drivers on the thread! Great place for info that you might not see on the FB page. I learned there's a Chicago local driver now? How is that working out? Anyway, hoping to be back early July. Magnum is covering insurance/benefits til I get back and that is amazing. For the new drivers... I hope you realize what you've gotten yourself into coming here! Don't be afraid to ask questions and always keep dispatch in the loop on delays and such. They work with you when there's time to work a problem. Hope everyone has a safe weekend. Safe travels to the ones headed for orientation. I'll be reading the mail!

Mine says 12,987. 5 days of home time. Other than home time I didn't get a single reset. Dang, @WesternPlains good job! I've never been able to reach 14k.

So, I left Magnum 2 months ago on not so good terms. Got in a big disagreement over excessive layover days and unpaid layover. I quit without any notice except for a angry phone call, and lost most of my last paycheck because they charged me mileage for driving the truck back to the terminal without a load.
On a positive note, my DAC fears were unfounded. I was talking to other drivers before I quit and was told that Magnum would mess up my DAC report.
I had three incidents during my time with Magnum. 2 were the other drivers fault, and one was my fault. The other Magnum drivers were telling me that I would get dinged for 3 preventable despite 2 of them not being my fault.
I had to take 2 months off the road before getting another job due to personal issues. I just got hired on with another company, and dutifully listed all 3 incidents on my job application. The recruiter said my DAC came up clean with no incidents listed. The only thing Magnum put on my DAC was my employment dates and "Satisfactory Performance"
Did I get lucky or is Magnum DAC reputation unfounded?Lowlite Thanks this. -

A bunch of drivers left last year. Then those of us who stayed were presented with nice pay raises and benefits.
Also some complained (justifiably) about the DAC thing. So as @ncmickey said, maybe they changed their ways. I'd like to hear from more people.
On another note... I passed a level 1 inspection today!sc00ter, CJ701 and WesternPlains Thank this. -
Zata40 Thanks this.

They tell me... now now now.... we have to be fair and get to everybody. We just don’t have the time to be doing level 1 and 2’s. So you be a good little driver. Go on your way with your clean level 3.Zata40 Thanks this. -
Kinda hoping I can get a few more level 1's now that I know I can make some easy money. 200 bones
sc00ter and WesternPlains Thank this.
