I am very proficient with all kinds of weapons, and being afraid of weapons, be something expected of an inexperienced person. Krav maga only works if they in striking distance and if there isn't more then one armed. While I am skilled in both no load is worth me ending up with a few bullets. because even vest only protects the chest that's if they using normal rounds.

Meh....except for California....I will go anywhere. The reason I won't go to CA is that it has cost me money and the local planner put me on sick leave to keep me from being dispatched out to handle some of their local shuttle hauls. So ANY trip to CA that is offered to me is immediately DECLINED.

We have no forced dispatch and my DM knows the scoop and that I won't go to CA.

I agree no load is worth getting killed over. Why don’t you tell us the back story. How many gunmen where you faced with?

I don't plan to relive it rather focus on the future that said three would be the lucky number you are looking for. Just because I plan to focus on the future and plan to drive safer doesn't mean I am gonna go looking for trouble enough of that follows me anyways.

Then I doubt a firearm would have helped you. Which was my whole point. You said you weren’t going back unless you had one. I had a similar situation in Jacksonville, Fla. I just learned not to spend the night on beaver street. I still go there and I will go to NYC, although it will pay well. No because of danger, but because of headaches.

Jax is a ####ing ####hole, having moved up north for a few years I would feel much safer in NYC, Philly, NJ than Jax.

Sorry for being mia. Been rolling on and getting my job done. Man, did I almost have a heart attack today. I saw funnel cloud coming down about 1000 feet away from I85 about 15 or 20 miles from the SC/GA border in SC. I always though I wanted to be a tornado chaser but not now. When I saw it, I immediately started looking for a place to park in case the weather started going to the tenth level of Hades. Not too long after that, I went under a thunder cloud and it got as dark as it does at night with no lights around.

We had a mother ship shelf cloud system over Indy one day then rolling lighting rapid. We were north of the city midway on their beltway.

I watched a bolt hit the primary transformer sub division farm for the entire valley. It burned green fluids (Copper?) and the entire valley switched off for 20 miles in every direction.

I told spouse we hide in the next truckstop. STuffed it between the building and other trucks.

It was very violent. I just don't know if that was a legit tornado problem or not. In those days it was no technology. Much.

My native area, Eastern NC, has wild weather in the spring time. Always has. April 16, 2011 was the worst I have seen. Tornadoes everywhere. One actually touched down just north of where I lived about four miles away. A strong F3. That is extremely uncommon for my area. A supervisor I worked under at the NC DOT equipment maintenance shop nearby lived in a house where it touched down. Me and my aunt decided to be nosy like everyone else. My supervisors house looked like someone took a giant buzzsaw and cut the entire second floor off.
