It's new. Here it is in Kilgore. They have a yard just south of Cleanblast. Rob Waycott is the boss and one of the best Men I've ever worked for period. He has a small office there in the yard. Theyve only been down there since last October or so. I spent the previous year and a half trying to help build a presence in Texas and they never said anything about finally having an office there so I left last may,,,and then they finally did it lol.

Rob knows his freight and theyve got steady customers. You'll get miles. Their pay was stupid low at .43 , but they pay odometer miles and they have great equipment. Bennies were average.
I really do miss working for Rob. He was promoted and I got a different dispatcher(very small company, you only had the one at the time) and I just got burned out dealing with him.

When I found out that the Texas fleet was finally going, I've lost alot of sleep about whether I would go back or not. Theyve got good customers and I made an easy 70k there. The yard in North salt lake has a full shop, parts store and a restaurant (that's a separate business)

If youd like I can text Rob tomorrow and ask him if I can give you his number and you can talk with him. Rob is one of those guys, where if he leaves a company, guys will go with him to work for him again.

Kind of. We have an account that we pull them from NJ to IN. But they're starting to terminate them in Chicago, so I pulled am MT dirty up to Chicago and PU an MT clean to go back down. But none of the paperwork was ever done, so it was a mess. Now dispatch is trying to figure out what to do since I'm leaving on vacation.

Turned into quite the morning for me. I loaded asphalt in South Portland, ME. and was heading up Rt 26 in Oxford to deliver. Had to stop for a light. When it changed and I started going, a 1 ton behind me hit the back of the trailer with enough force to throw me back in the seat and trigger the smartdrive camera to go off. The 1 ton was totaled, and as for the trailer, it only had a mudflap bracket bent, so that the mudflap was up against the tires. Someone learned a lesson in why you should always pay attention when you drive.

That someone was the 1-ton driver I'm sure. All you could have done is "Brace for Impact!!!"

Just saw this, so probably too late. I assume you're leaving from Buckman Labs. It really depends on what you mean by "best."

The longer but easier way is to go back up 47 to Bonne Terre, then take 67 up to I-55 to St. Louis and get on I-44 there. Of course, you have to go slow over the bridge a mile east of Buckman, and you're not supposed to be over 36 tons, but I've seen a lot of trucks go over that bridge.

The shorter but harder way is to go west (left) out of the plant on 47, take a left on 21 at the T, go right on 185 through Potosi, then left on 8 all the way out to I-44 at St. James. Alternatively, from 8 you could take 19 north from Steelville to Cuba, but I've never gone that way.

The second route is a lot shorter, but MO-8 is a twisty, hilly, narrow road. It's really dark at night in the forest, and during the day there are lots of tourists out in the woods. There's a rafting place you'll pass on that route that looks like a lot of fun unless you're heavy with a liquid load trying to dodge a bunch of people in 4-wheelers who are looking everywhere but the road.

I suppose a third way would be to stay on 185 north out of Potosi and get on I-44 at Sullivan, but I've never done that either.

So, let's see, since the last time I posted where I loaded a month ago, I've been to Cadet for a load to Rome, GA, then St. Louis to Detroit, then Ohio back to St. Louis, then Cadet again to Wisconsin, then a shorty from St. Louis to Iowa, another shorty from St. Louis to KCMO, another shorty from St. Louis to Louisville, then Murray KY back to St. Louis, then loaded in Wisconsin and brought it back to St. Louis, then St. Louis to Arlington, TX, then a rescue from Bossier City back to northeast Texas, then back to St. Louis for a load to Cheyenne, where I am now.

So, I've been in St. Louis a lot.

I'm taking a week off, paid, for the first time since I started trucking. Happy Fourth of July (early)!!
