My sincerest apologizes. I did not intend to offend. It is obvious we do not agree and I was not suggesting that I am any more correct than your statements. Obviously I failed at that. I am sorry if I appeared belligerent.

So then the putz tried to sue me in court. He lost, I won my counter suit, and he owed me $18,600. He didn't have the money so the court ordered his pickup be signed over to me. Then he couldn't get a job because he had a bad rep, so he moved 400 kms away. This guy actually wrote down his 3 years working for me lol.
I had about 10 places he applied to calling me, and asking what he was like. "Well i fired him, then he called Labor Relations on me, lost that, so tried to sue me, and lost, and has moved far away because nobody within 200 kms of here doesn't know what he did.
If you hire him, keep your lawyer on speed dial, good luck". He never did get another driving job, but I know his cousin well, and he is now a cleaner at a hotel.Last edited: Jul 13, 2019

I looked up a simple definition that matched what I thought was still the definition say based on time changed people associate lease with the owner over the years what my uncles told me but actually your not an owner until you own nothing on the truck payments, just like a car.
One the ones I found copy paste from Bing. "An owner-operator truck driver is a truck driver who owns their own tractor and bids on contracts independently. Owner-operator truck drivers may have a harder time finding companies to deliver for. Owner-operator truck drivers aim to be carrying a delivery each time they hit the road to ensure money is being made."
I find it strange when people associate owner op and say another carrier like prime or any of the carriers makes no difference. When actually they are the competition they will never give them a good deal, a relevant for me would be back when I owned a landscaping company that would be like me associate my company to try ask another company to help me find clients the two don't mix I see people say they make money but are they really? I hear 120k is good from one guy and I hear 186k from another I am more inclined buy that 186k is better for operating expense.
To be honest I have never owned a truck never will I have the opportunity to buy one but that's not a path I want to invest in I have invested in other business. But I will say on the experience as a business owner you cannot pool your gross income for your company to your pocket your go in red very fast, you have to have a business side and a personal side your pay yourself. 120k would make it very hard find your personal pay there in place the operating expense I would imagine as an owner op. -
