I think they could institute a policy for those who repeatedly get speeding tkts, speed will be cut back...

And yes, excessive fuel consumption, not following the fuel solution. TRUE!

Glad to hear they are turning company trucks to 68 mph, just that little bit will be helpful getting around 65 mph trucks.

After I get empty in Tracy, California I will bounce back to Sparks, Nevada and pick up a load going to Sioux City, Iowa.

Just in time for the whole “national truck speed limit of 65” and they have to be turned back down again. LOL

I really don’t see that happening this go round, I think it will happen eventually, but this has been brought up in the past and faded away. Two legislators have put a bill forth with zero sponsors, it’s currently getting tons of press, I have faith it will fall by the wayside again.

If and when it does happen, I will find a new line of work. Driving a truck is stressful enough, having all trucks going the same speed will make trucking more dangerous and way too stressful. You think the motoring public despises us now, wait if and when that happens.

I think it's ironic that one of the proponents of the bill from whithin the trucking industry was USXpress...a company who's trucks are governed above 65.

I am also glad to see the 68 mph
Like you are saying hopefully it will help getting away from some of the 65 mph bottle necks on the road . With my truck having the sensor On the front sometimes I have to slow way down to keep it from going off in those bottle necks .
