Yea, I googled it, checked transport topics, Daseke and Maverick's websites...nothing. But the guy who sent it is very technology deficient...he still uses a paper truckstop guide.

don't lie and tell us you dont use a paper guide while driving and things dont go as planned. Speaking of things not going as planned it took me almost 5 hrs to go from san antonio to houston

I haven't used a paper truckstop guide in 10+ years. Especially now when there are apps like Truckerpath.

And, an update to my picture of the Daseke buying Maverick - Glass division. As speculated, it was fake. Talked to another driver who had it sent to him. Allegedly, it was created by the wife of a Maverick driver...and supposedly, they are going after her for posting a false news story...not sure who 'they' are though or what is meant by 'going after her'.

As I guy who spent his 1st 35 years in the Panhandle, I can say without a doubt, "there's a lot of truth in that video."

I did my short run to the south side of Hotlanta yesterday. They thankfully have me heading back to Church Hill. And I say thankfully because a friend did a short run to Nashville, but they told him to go by the house after empty, and they'd call when they had something.(he lives around Monteagle) I would have made it all the way back in one trip except I took off a bit early for a little traffic cushion, plus the load was mixture of glass sizes and types, so it took a bit longer to sort when they unloaded. For some reason, glass loaders don't group the same glass together when it's a mixed load, Soring Hill and Laurinburg do the same thing. After I get back, I pick up a load going to Miami Gardens for Tuesday. Not a killer week milewise, but I carried a short haul over from last week. Combine that with this shorthaul pay and 2 days layover, it'll be an acceptable check.

    They forgot to mention

On a 2 lane highway, if you meet an oncomming funeral from the other direction, you are obliged to pull to the shoulder, turn on your 4 way flashers, and remove your hat if you wear one.

Also, you can tell a poisonous snake from a non-poisonous snake at a glance...and you don't freak out at the sight of either one
