SO .. Where is the money - most OO going UNDER

Especially in PA!!! I took a load from Baltimore to Cincinnati the other day......you can even use US 40 just a little ways west of Grantsville. It does suck if heavy, because that is one of the steeper hills this side of the country, but PA tolls will kill your profit. I never understand why drivers ride that turnpike the entire length of PA.

Or maybe the economy isnt booming as much as a year ago. They are certainly trying to beef up that line, but a booming economy would create more work in theory, or nah. I just think the megas have all the power now. Big money speaks the loudest and they can set the tone for the market, even though megas make up a small fraction of the industry. They can have multiple customers across the USA. The small guys would be happy to get just one.

 

Easy tiger - might be able to have some constructive conversations here if we keep open minds.

Some of the quotes are getting blurry here too, by the way.

 

I was legit going to help the guy but I don’t think he came here for help. Your post was great by the way. Especially the part about asking so many questions and learning all you can from everyone.

 

@JerryD13 - could you give a quick run down of your operation - might help hone the answers.

Truck/Trailer/ operation/ areas / cost per mile and why. General stuff.

 

It’s listening without opening my mouth is what I learned the most.

I actually like the failure stories the best - they taught me a lot.
