It was just announced via e-mail from corporate. Moore just became part of Wylie. Sounds like a similar merger as Moore/Daseke. Moore is keeping the Moore name, and Wylie will be Wylie. Not sure how the mix is gonna work, or how it's gonna effect the Moore employees, and according to the email, the details of this will be announced at a future time.

We had speculated that it was either being part of Wylie or being shut down entirely and some sort of agreement that the drivers could move to whichever Daseke company best suited them. Based on talking to other drivers today, it almost sounded like it was quietly orchestrated from Daseke HQ and was more or less a surprise during a Monday morning conference call.

If it means things stabilize as far as miles/freight and my pay rate doesn't change then I really don't care what name is on the door. After all, like everyone else doing this job, I am in it for the money.

actually, Mascot approved my move. I just hesitated because there are a few things I found out that I really don't like about Wylie...forced routing, forced fuel locations/amounts, no PC on elogs...hope they don't transition those policies onto us, if they do, there might be an abrupt exodus of Moore drivers.

The email also said other Daseke companies are merging. BTC merging with Hornady and Schilli becomes part of Lone Star. Hope this isn't an ominous sign of financial troubles in TX...

I own a lot of $DSKE and the stock has been dismal, but we bought at the low and believe in the big picture. When Daske hired the new operations executive, I thought it would only be a matter of time for the mergers. Moore depended too much on rate for specialized and little focus on expenses. I would expect all the Wylie rules to apply going forward.

I would be surprised if didn't happen. 2 divisions, one that has PC, one that doesn't. One that is governed at 70, the other at 65. One that can fuel wherever whenever, the other that has a fuel and routing solution they have to abide by. They say nothing is gonna change on our end, but...I am a sceptic...I'll believe it when I see it.

Not being able to use PC when it's one of the only beneficial parts of the whole electronic log 14hr bs, is garbage. It's even legal why not allow it? Add to that fueling and routing babysitting and I'd get out. Mav doesn't even do any of that crap.

Especially the routing. What do those clowns expect you to do when there is traffic or an accident ahead? No detour, just wait it out? Call for permission to drive on a different road?

Do they want you to backroad it to avoid tolls too? Do they also try to get you to fuel at locations where you know not to go into because the fuel line will be ridiculous? Sounds like they'd also want to install driver facing cams too. Why not just remote control drive it as well?
