I'm curious, most 'general freight' companies(ROEHL) will not pay that kind of money. Sure they 'advertise' this, but most of the guys at Heartless Express told me once they reached the 'top pay' they hardly moved! Most LTL will pay close to what you are looking for, and then some(when it's in 'high demand season'). Why even mention a mega(roehl) when you know it's utter BS?

Hartt transportation out of Maine technically offers I think it was .65 cpm for regional. But that's for drivers also willing to do NYC runs. It's .55 cpm for regional no NYC. No idea what's otr pay

I feel like some companies try and sneak their bonuses into what they advertise you will be paid per mile.....

That's atrocious, especially with the "up to" language". Remember this is owner operator, first buck a mile or so is vehicle and operating expenses.

I can 100% certify that you can make "UP TO" $14.00/mile driving a friggin Lyft XL rideshare

..it just usually doesn't occur. "Up to" accounts for whacky anomalies. That happen maaaaaybe once-twice a year and only to people who game the living hell out of the system

As they say, “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Sorry, someone had to say it.

Many people think locals don’t make money, but it couldn’t be further away from the truth. I did local for a few months, and boy, if only OTR drivers knew.

Locals make very good money, but I am talking about those who live in big cities. Look for Sysco, US Foods, Core-Mark, Coca-Cola, alcohol companies, etc. Some of these belong to unions where they all get raises every so often, and their benefits are also good. Many start early in the morning, but they get 3 days off after working 4 long days. Some companies may allow overtime, and with it, you can make over 70k while being home every day.

Last point, you actually get paid for everything you do, and they’re not kidding. You’re waiting at the receiver, you’re getting paid. You’re filling out paperwork, you’re getting paid. So no more 55-70 hrs of work—not counting time spent at shippers and receivers.

that's the key word, 'OK'! There's always a 'catch' when it comes to General Freight! Yeah, high mileage 60 CPM but, probably NO layover, you sit at docks for hours on end, with well below minimum wage pay. Then they hit you with that awesome 300 mile run, when you really drive 400 (free work on your part), only for them to tell you, 'that's trucking!' No thanks!

Yeah, southeast regional. 25x a week thru the gorge, knoxville and ATL. Should i tighten those flapping straps? Nope, theres not enough time! We have to get to the vonore DC on schedule so we can sit there for a 7hr "work-in"
