@Lysdexis it's been many a moon since I worked for Cummins but a 460/1650 setting was about the best all-around spec for performance and fuel mileage. As far as governed rpm goes it's a toss up. I would suggest rolling in new bearings and have them save them for you to look at just to get an idea of what kind of life it's had and run the overhead while you're at it. Good luck whatever route you choose and keep us updated.

Seguin, TX....rolled into Loves with 24 min to spare. Loaded early this morning in Diboll, TX and dumped it off in Leander, TX then bounced down here for a load going to Muskogee, OK.

One thing I do have an issue with is loosing prime after setting. I've read about there being a check valve that can get trash in it and not seat causing fuel to run back to the tanks. Itll start in the morning and the die after a few seconds then has a bit of an extended crank to refire after that.

 

Depends on how I feel when I get there honestly. Possibly be there in the morning but can’t verify it. Was told truck is just off 85 at a Freightliner dealer.
