Is the fastest way to go straight up I-75? Or are there possibly some of the shorter distanced back roads that would get there faster?

Go 40 west at the 40/75 split, to first exit. Turn right, follow 7-8 miles, go right at split. Go thru Oak Ridge, to Clinton, brings you out at the 122 on I-75
