( sorry. Couldn't help it. Memphis ain't my favorite place. Spent 8 months there in Millington at schools. Meh. ) Hope you get to leave there posthaste tonight.

 

At least I have a semi safe place to park around here. You couldn’t pay me to stay in one of these truck stops around here. Well you could, but I’d be able to take the rest of the year off.

 

You mean, they still have not cleaned them truckstops around memphis up. lol

 

Closest they've come to cleaning up is the Petro (or TA) has the guard shack "Have to buy something to park" game going on. So they have less drive through marketing happening.

 

LOL. The first time I ever saw a guard shack was at a TA, and pay to park or buy something too. I thought cool fenced and a guard, secure. lol
I had not been parked for 10 seconds yet when a truck stopped in front of me and let a scaly lizard out and she jumped in a truck across from me. I was on the phone, and before I got off, she had finished up and jumped in another one a few trucks down, yep security. lol

 

Only slows down the drive by stuff not the walking merchandisers.....

Of course the armed security patrols at the TA in Aurora, CO are kinda interesting. Especially when they cuff somebody then have the local police show up to cart them away.

 

I do not recall ever stopping in that one. I usually stayed at Sapp bros if I was in Denver. I got involved with cuffing one there once and the law came got him. They took him to the hospital and he was back in a couple of hours looking for his wallet. lol
Supposedly if caught with a lizard in Denver back then you were arrested and they had s tv show called Johns TV, that you got to star on. lol

 

Early this morning, it was still dark, I saw on I-80 east in NV around mm 250 or so something awful...
A auto car transport filled with cars totally engulfed in flames.... one could see only the skeleton of all the vehicles including the truck.... it was quite a view.... lots of fire trucks and ambulances and police cars... the road was totally shut down.... I was west... and tried to take a picture but didn't have time to set my camera.... I hope nobody died....
