Can I fuel while on 30 min rest break ?

In case you ever wondered why during an inspection the DOT asks for your receipts, this is one of the reasons. If they see that you purchased fuel on a 30 minute break, it's an instant HOS violation and ticket.

 

Why would you do that , it's break time go relax and live a little.

 

Trucking related have to be on duty.

How so? I cannot think of any way it would not be on-duty.

Here is the definition of On Duty
On-duty time means all time from the time a driver begins to work or is required to be in readiness to work until the time the driver is relieved from work and all responsibility for performing work. On-duty time shall include:
(2) All time inspecting, servicing, or conditioning any commercial motor vehicle at any time;

Fueling is servicing the vehicle. Note it says at any time....

 

U can do whatever the f u want driver, but it may get u in trouble with DOT or ur office monkeys that work in log dept
