Self Driving Trucks are Coming

Nah. Still not worried. A good percentage are barely getting by the way it is. So I doubt they would have the money to move. And if they do have the money to pack up and move north I doubt they’d have money left over to buy the required equipment to take my job. So for the third time, still not concerned.

 

Does you bank have an app where I can pay part of your mortgage with an Apple watch at the drive thru? If not, do they take Bitcoin?

 

Why would you say that? The repubs are more of the party that ALWAYS sides with big business. Look up the ata or the chamber of commerce. See who they support or find more friendly. That's not to say dems are anti business, or dont get lobbied.

 

I ordered one, just waiting on them to make it compatible with my Blackberry so I can push an app. I've got a pretrip app, a fueling app, a tandem sliding and scale app, a breakdown app, and a few others.

 

It aint gonna happen for years and jobs that require the driver to get out and work may never be affected. But in the meantime, start making plans to buy your own self driving truck(s) and make money from the comfort of home. If you think about it, anybody and everybody with enough capital can buy a self driving truck, and existing drivers already got an advantage knowing where the freight is vs your avg joe out in town who'll buy himself a self driving truck. This will destroy freight rates, but wouldnt be surprised to see, "How to get rich quick with your very own self driving fleet", in the distant future.

 

Hazmat tanker driver, flatbed guys, driver unload food service...you are safe for now.
