I work for coca cola running a linehaul now and freaking love it. Less money $28/hr vs $38/hr when I left UPS but life is much smoother here with no shareholders to make the company retarded.

So that's $400 less/week..Do you think it was worth it overall?

Totally. It's super easy going. All hourly, pretty good company overall. I'm not gonna say it's completely bs free because nowhere is but it's good.

This is a fantastic thread, as I’m in CDL school and have no intentions of going OTR.

Coke sounds like a good place to get a start. Hell, $28 an hour is #### good money around this area, upstate NY.

If that's you and your little one in the profile pic, you definitely want a home every day driving job... They grow up fast and if you're on the road the whole time, you'll be missing out...
Check all of the LTL companies in your area. You can submit applications online, or at your local job service, then if there's an opening you may get in. Good luck!

Yup! That’s my little one. She’s 7 months old. Feels like just yesterday she was a newborn.

I’m going to apply everywhere locally. OD, Land Air, Coke, Pepsi, ABF, etc. Even NFI has local route here.

Pay will vary depending on which specific bottler you work for. The one @FlaSwampRat works for only operates in Florida.

When I was in driving school last year, we had a Pepsi recruiter come talk to us. Starting pay was $16/hr...
