Hello,
I pass my CDL test and now exploring to see what companies are out there. I'm in Southern California and I'm looking for a company that doesn't do forced dispatch, no forced team *during training*, no touch freight, and decent to new equipment. Western Regional or OTR, dry or reefer. Maybe @Chinatown can help? Low to decent pay is ok cause I'm really doing it for the experience and then moving on to better opportunity after one year.
Western Regional or OTR companies hiring from California

Look at those scary terminal locations.

Man you got some serious stipulations to be right out of school and unproven.
tscottme Thanks this. -
They are all pretty basic conditions. I don't want a company that is going to pair me up with a trainer that is essentially using me as a "team". I will learn nothing with that trainer. I need a company where they enforce their trainer to be "awake" when I'm driving to monitor me and give me advice if I'm doing anything wrong. And no forced dispatch will most likely not force me to take any loads outside my HOS. I heard there are companies that will make you go off duty and drive. Aside from that I will take any load as long as it doesn't put my license in jeopardy. My first year I need to learn the rules and develop good habit.
No touch isn't really much of a stipulation depending on the company they probably already have no touch freights. And I already said pay can be low or decent. Wasn't asking for 80k salary off the bat.
So I would say my stipulation would be average at most.

No company will tell you to go "off duty" and keep driving. Elogs put a stop to that. A company that would do that these days will be shut down immediately and the fines would bankrupt the company.
dwells40, tscottme and bryan21384 Thank this. -
If you don’t mind to work for starvation wage, may I suggest KKW or Gardner trucking.
