True. Our company started putting dash cams in trucks in late 2017.

He’s definitely a truck driver-he tried to do a “J hook” turn in front of you-not realizing he was driving a Chevy TrailBlazer! Lol
Now,if he was towing something behind him I could see that but not in this case.

    Yup.
    The list of charges:
1.Reckless driving (technically jailable offense in some jurisdictions)
    2.Unsafe lane change
    3.Speed not reasonable or prudent
    4.Driving over hazardous markings
    5.Unsafe tire
If they wrote up the moron for each charge, usually in some places getting 3 tickets in less than six months or a year is more than enough to get a mandatory license suspension for anywhere from 6 months to a year(or more). Plus possible jail time as well as heavy fines (which in New York State, they are never light),plus any reinstatement fees! I can guarantee you this guy’s insurance company more than likely also cancelled his coverage so he’ll probably have to look for another insurance company and pay surcharges on his premiums for the next 5-6 years or so!

Proof that some Nissan 350Z drivers can screw up just like some Mustang and Camaro drivers!!

I am not sure if he was out to make $$$. But it sounded like he was trying to get even with me because he thought I had cut him off earlier merging from interstate highway. If you check my video you will see that I had not done that. I might have encroached on his lane to avoid an unplowed edge of my lane. But even if I did, I made sure there was no wide vehicles next to me. There was not much damage to my truck (corner and center pieces of the bumper) so I tried to ask him to fix my truck and get settled there. But he didn’t even roll down his window while yapping on his cell phone when I approached him. So I went back to my truck and checked the video footage of my week old dash cam. Having seen the video I went back to his car. Before I said anything he told me that police was on his way. I told him I had a dash cam. At that point he got angry and blamed me of cutting him off earlier while merging. Did not want to argue with him and told him to save his story for the police as I left for my truck.

There's a good lesson there: sometimes even if you're involved in the wreck, you might not know who's really at fault. And if you're not sure, don't be the one to involve the cops unless someone's hurt. With your dash cam footage, his insurance was going to pay either way. But by calling the cops, he just invited them to give him a ticket.
