Taking my CDL Permit Test at the DMV next week. - There are endorsements acquired from that?
What are these other "Endorsements" spoken of that you need following the Class and taking your final DMV Driving Test?
Endorsements are something you need to also acquire following - obtainment of your CDL license as well?
What exactly are endorsements?
I apologize if this is a lame question that can just be answered when I take the classes.

After your training, you go back to test and get your CDL license. Then, with additional tests, you can add endorsements to that CDL that will allow you to legally operate additional types of equipment. Tanker, or doubles & triples, or passenger, or hazardous materials. Having added endorsements might get you a better job or higher pay. Or they might not. And having a specific endorsement doesnt mean you will understand how to perform that type of work, just that legally you can, while someone trains you to. You wont get much of that training at CDL school.

You have to take the CDL General Knowledge test, plus the Air Brakes and Combination Vehicle endorsements or your license will have restrictions.
Gamgee Thanks this. -
austinmike Thanks this.

Think motorcycles
You can't drive unless you have a motorcycle endorsement.
Cdl has tanks, triples, hazmat.
Then there's restrictions. Like automatics. Glasses. Etc.Gamgee Thanks this. -

I am so confused. Um I have like three practice tests going at once and am listening to a CDL Drivers Study Manual in the background.
Here's my confusion.
Am I studying the right thing?(I just need the Commercial Learners Permit to take the class and to practice driving with a trainer right?)
Is there a difference in what I should be studying for the CLP(Commercial Learners Permit) and then the actual CDL Final test?
I thought there was a difference and passed the CLP practice tests several times. Then I find all these other practice tests and I am wondering if I need to actually pass them ALL before I am allowed to take the class and drive with a trainer.
Help?

Think I am giving up before I start. - Everyone is scaring me away from CRE my sponsoring training class and/recruitment employer.
People say there are other options but I don't see them.
<-- See that avatar over there? How can I be away from her for soo long for a year or more?
Ya only live once.
Maybe I should just get a job in a burger joint and be happy with what I have.
It is the simple things in life that are worth living for.
Yes. I loved to travel but that was on MY terms.
Maybe I should just be happy with the memories and hunker down with my dog. My lifetime partner. She doesn't have many years left and I don't want to miss them.
She's my Frodo
