Agreed, and the answer to that, IMHO, is:

Grow and cut down trees or choke sea turtles and whales to death with plastic bags?

So many on the left think conservatives are nature-hating, factory-loving pollutionmongers. In reality, there are probably more conservatives who want to preserve nature than there are liberals that want the same. Folks living in the "flyover" states tend to live a lot closer to nature.

People on MD’s eastern shore tend to think there’s no intelligent life between the mountains and the Chesapeake Bay, and I’m inclined to agree. People in Sussex county Delaware feel the same way about those at the top of the state.

They like their way of life over there and want it preserved.

How come whenever people talk about us doing better they always bring other countries into it?

So what if Nigeria has flaming ponds? Do you want flaming ponds here too and rivers catching fire like the old days again?

That’s the dumbest #### I ever heard, if we can do better we should do better. I don’t care if China or whoever else pollutes more, doesn’t mean we should too.

I knew this thread would be a hot mess when I saw “California” in the title.

A lot of people getting their freedoms hurt by straws I see...

One event like the Krakatoa eruption in 1883 will change what all the "global Warming" people say. Or a series of eruptions around the pacific rim all at once will set back the warming for quite a long period.

Thanks for reminding me to check on Hawaii. One of the volcanos there that recently erupted is developing a crater lake and there is some concern that it might generate a steam explosion.

    Yeah..
Though not half as tiresome as this endless, heat-breaking heatwave that’s been plaguing us in the south for the past three months... along with the complete lack of rain to boot.
Look around you Mack.... it’s really happening.

I noticed that you failed to mention both Mars and Pluto; both with ‘atmospheres’ as well as Venus.

“Dear heavens, Dr. Wadkins, Pluto is quite distant from our beloved Sun, yet so incredibly frigid”.
And also, I would add, no inhabitants to manipulate the planet’s natural resources for personal gain... as well as the obvious rule of natural law.

Of course, the point of this post is that there really is no point; just thought that I’d continue the hyperbole...

Sure, just like the war on drugs and poverty, how did that workout? But in Denver today it will be close to 75 degrees, then by tomorrow it will be working to get over 10 degrees. hows that for climate change?
