I was just watching the news and the story about shooting at Homecoming event in Texas where 2 people were killed and the camera shows CFI trailer parked at the scene. Hope there wasn't any connection and that the driver wasn't injured.

Can anyone help me with something, I was offered a driving position at cfi. Was told I'd go to orientation in Dallas or rather Wilmer by the loves t/s. Also told I would need to do a drug/ hair follicle test before I get to orientation. So my questions are. 1. Orientation is still 4-5 days long, why? Also, do they check all or at least most of your background information before you get to orientation or while you're in there an if they don't like it you get sent home?

Been a little over a week since I talked to the recruiter an none of my previous employers have heard anything from them. My last employer doesn't report records to DAC, here right or any of the usual government agencies. Everything is done the old way.

Don't know any company that does a complete background before you show up. They will tell you where to get the ua and they will pay. If you filled in all of your employment history with no gaps and know there is nothing to be concerned about and can pass a simple driving test, you'll get hired.
2-4 days is common. Last day usually includes getting on the truck and waiting for your first dispatch.

Passing the u/a and hair isn't a problem. Just not to sure if they're gonna accept my past employer that doesn't report to DAC. Tried with a few other companies an they said they couldn't accept it, even though I gave them everything. Name, address, phone number, dates and previous pay stubs/w-2's. Been with them for the past 2 yrs, aside from 4 months last yr with a reefer outfit that does report to DAC when the flatbed hauling got slow. Not to fond of having to go fetch a truck from somewhere either. Recruiter said they don't have any trucks at Wilmer yard so they'd give me a rental car to go get one. Last time I did that the truck looked like the person had a party inside it before they quit. Guess we'll see what happens.
