This is breaking news so there is not much info and not any print article yet. It's a Peterbilt, they didn't say what color, with an unmarked trailer. Not much to go on there. But it has over 8 million worth of prescription drugs in the trailer. It was stolen from the Pilot truck stop in Temple, GA on I-20 just outside of Atlanta. I'll post an update when more info becomes available.

Looks to be parts and equipment. I don't think meds are transported in the back of semis any more than bank deposits are.
In my experience it's always been deliveries by courrier or UPS/Fed Ex. -

Actually, they do. We just hauled a load not long ago. However, it probably wouldn't have been anything the thieves thought it was....our company regularly hauls IV fluids and meds for dialysis...
While these things ARE prescription, any thief would get a surprise when opening the doors...not a pill in sight!

I live not for from Temple & the local paper says it was hauling blood thinners and cold medicines and a few other types of meds. This is they say the second rig stolen there since May of this year.

Yes, the cold medicines, while not prescription, are kept behind the counter at the pharmacy, because that's what the tweekers make meth from. So, my guess is that was the target, the cold meds.
