    Not sure how Saia hangs on to their drivers. In my area they are ranked fairly low in terms of pay and benefits. I understand the argument for DFCs, it's their workspace and the company has a right to monitor it blah blah blah. To me it just seems like
    A: you don't trust me
    B: you are using this to micromanage me.

    I'll be the first one to admit I goof off during my shift and even log on here between stops to check messages. But it doesn't affect my productivity. I get all my pickups and deliver what needs to get off. But there are other companies that monitor their drivers and a five minute Flappy Bird session is enough to get them fired.

    What a time to be a truck driver. That's for sure.

    It’s often said that “not everything is as it seems”.

    In this case, it is.

    I’ve said it here before and it wasn’t too popular, so that must mean it isn’t too far fro the truth.

    The ones that can make it at the likes of Saia and XPO would only be new drivers that have never seen the likes of the micromanagement those two detestable outfits gladly impose in the name of “safety”, because few veterans would tolerate that.

    But when you run this type of operation, you will end up attracting only new drivers that don't have the experience to get on board with anyone. You aren't going to see drivers like us going "man, that Saia has got it going on, let's head over there".

    I knew absolutely nothing about Saia except what I heard talking to the driver that delivers to my shop and if you heard him tell it it's the best place ever lol. I guess there is a job for everyone? Go jump in the other threads and tell everyone you are a good service driver and you will be called a retard in record time by otr driver lol. I personally think they are retarded lol. I think the point I'm trying to make here is we all suck and there is no such thing as a good job lol. #### it....I'm flipping burgers lol

    Performance food service is hiring like crazy like 3 miles away from my house. Anyone know anything about them? They are having a open house thing on Wednesday I think I'm going to go to just to ask questions.

    They moved into our area when Reinhart food service pulled out. I looked into a night shuttle run but it didn’t pay enough IMO.

    I was on my regular run with MBM (pre McLane) and a PFC driver was staying at the same hotel. I asked the guy stuff, etc and he was all excited cuz he was "guaranteed $900 a week" .

    I"m like dude I make that in 2 days at MBM

    so, big nope on PFC
