Really? Is that for all their barns? Almost seems like you would have to pay them that much considering the nature of their work when compared to regular LTL that just tailgates most of their freight.

I don't know what Sysco is making but US Foods starts at like $24.xx an hour. And yeah, given the state of the economy and the ridiculous of housing costs here, they are always looking for people. It's all about the OT. Also local always pays less than OTR cuz people wanna be home.
good for the Teamsters at Sysco.LtlAnonymous, Radman, The Shadow and 3 others Thank this. -
And every delivery is an inside delivery with white glove service.

local tends to pay less. cuz everyone wants to be local
yeah, it never works out in OTR (cuz traffic, breakdowns, weather, etc), but generally more supply.
LIke rock haulers/can guys/etc (guys who work a regular schedule), yeah, they getta go home
Yes, touch the freight you can make good money (or haul a bomb-gas). But just moving trucks around locally, pfffffffffftttttt
that was my point. And areas like suburbs out of the major trucking hubs, even just 50 miles. 20 to 30% less.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
80k year to run a line haul and not touch anything where I'm at.....was way more than that when I was at UPS....where are all these otr jobs paying that. @Chinatown can add them to his lil black book.LtlAnonymous, jmz and misterG Thank this.
