Random LTL Rants (all are welcomed)

I'm just gonna leave this right here in case anyone needs a refresher.

 

I don't know what Sysco is making but US Foods starts at like $24.xx an hour. And yeah, given the state of the economy and the ridiculous of housing costs here, they are always looking for people. It's all about the OT. Also local always pays less than OTR cuz people wanna be home.

local tends to pay less. cuz everyone wants to be local
yeah, it never works out in OTR (cuz traffic, breakdowns, weather, etc), but generally more supply.

LIke rock haulers/can guys/etc (guys who work a regular schedule), yeah, they getta go home

Yes, touch the freight you can make good money (or haul a bomb-gas). But just moving trucks around locally, pfffffffffftttttt

that was my point. And areas like suburbs out of the major trucking hubs, even just 50 miles. 20 to 30% less.

 

80k year to run a line haul and not touch anything where I'm at.....was way more than that when I was at UPS....where are all these otr jobs paying that. @Chinatown can add them to his lil black book.

 

Rant of the day.
I wish all landing gear would turn the same direction. Nothing like cranking for what feels like an hour only to find out you are going the wrong way.
