Are you even with Mercer, or just here to cause trouble in your three weeks on this forum. Or perhaps you have re-registered here in another name? See, I too can attempt to raise your ire with making personal statements totally unrelated to the topic at hand. Trust me, you cannot offend me, only entertain me with your lack of serious comments.

Oh, BTW you never answered my simple question what does Mercer require you to buy that would result in deductions?

49 CFR § 376.12 - Lease requirements.

(i) Products, equipment, or services from authorized carrier. The lease shall specify that the lessor is not required to purchase or rent any products, equipment, or services from the authorized carrier as a condition of entering into the lease arrangement. The lease shall specify the terms of any agreement in which the lessor is a party to an equipment purchase or rental contract which gives the authorized carrier the right to make deductions from the lessor's compensation for purchase or rental payments.

NO carrier can require you to purchase anything from them.

 

I have had Pre Pass, EZpass and Norpass all die withing a couple years once the battery craps out. No telling how long any one device will last, but from what I have seen if you are in the south where they will be much hotter sitting in the sun the lifespan tends to be shorter. Call BestPass and they will replace it ASAP, good customer service there.

 

Nope. But thru the year, i budgeted my maintenance fund to be able to do this. Because of the loads i hauled, i had the cash on hand to drop $6500 with no problems. And i still have freight to haul till the end of the year so I'll be taking off from Dec 22nd till Feb 3rd

 

Ive got drivewize linked thru my omnitrack so i cant help ya... I LOVE it. That big coop in MN on I 90? All the prepass guys have to go in. Not me. I get bypasses in OH and a LOT of others as well

Yeah bestpass customer service was great says it takes about 5 days to get to the house. Just sucks now i gotta pull into the scales lol
