I can't argue with that. I didn't get to use AOBRD long enough to tell if there was a difference or not.

Another important thing drivers will have to learn is to log out of the truck when dropping it off for service. If a technician drives it, the truck will record it.. Once you log back into the truck there will be a unassigned driving event that you or your company can't assign. It is important to keep a receipt from the repair shop, hopefully a time stamp. Your Company will also need the receipt in case of an audit. With my Keep Trucking elog I had to log out of the truck, then log out of the elog. Once logged back in and I claim my truck, a unassigned driving alert will be visible for 7 days.

This is my 2nd week on the ELD it's a pain in the butt...

Its definitely been getting me every day, I move up 200 feet after being loaded/unloaded it kicks me on the drive line...

I pull forward after fueling, kicks me on the drive line...

    Absolutely annoying...

DOT is going to be handing out tons of violations I can guarantee that...

Atleast the roads will be safer

I ran paper today. I followed the HOS and didn't cheat. Made it to my destination just as I do on ELD.

I'm able to keep it at 3 mph if I absolutely need to move and can't risk drive time. It's a very rare occurrence.

Does your company allow yard moves? When im getting loaded, ill ether be in sleeper birth or on duty with yard moves enabled. In a truck stop, ill keep it under 5 MPH if i'm just pulling forward to keep it from kicking me into drive line.
After running paper today though, I can see why running paper logs is desired by some drivers.. and no I didn't cheat.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Yes, but yard moves or not getting into the habit of making sure your either logging yard move or remembering to check and make sure your not on the drive line is definitely going to take some time getting used to.

Overnight parking at a shipper or receiver is going to be challenging for lots of folks when it comes down to logging, whereas previously you wouldn't be kicked on the drive line for moving into a dock or unload location... Its going to be hard now in a lot of cases to drive all the way across a huge warehouse or factory lot without "tripping" your Elog onto the drive line...

Even with the Yard Move feature it's still counting against your 14 hours clock.
