A lot of things in this trucking game are go go go! I have to learn to slow it down and get 110% of the information from now on.

one thing I’ve learned in 15 years of trucking is if it can go wrong it will go wrong. Remember, no good deed goes unpunished. You did the right thing. You’ll probably do the right thing over and over until you had all you could had and can’t has no more. #Popeye It’s give and take. And you can best believe as a company driver they are gonna take more than they give. As an owner operator I still get taken a lot but I have more say so in what is taken from me. The key is to find a company that respects you enough when it comes to pay and benefits that makes the bull crap worth dealing with. Be safe and have a happy happy and a merry merry. If you’re on the road on Xmas day hit the Petro for a good meal.Upinsmoke and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I got 100 bucks for the repower but it doesn’t even compare to the miles I would of gotten on the trip.Upinsmoke and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

Ask your dispatcher to help u out a lil bit. U deserve some compensation for putting up with the hassle. See if u can squeeze a few bucks out of it for getting the short end of the stick. Loads cancel and stuff happens. Just gotta roll with it and keep a positive attitude and make the next load a better one

Whenever a dispatcher says that they want a favor, or they'll make it up to you, that's a sure sign to say NO to the offer. They never repay the favor or make it up to you. I fell for it twice, then never said yes again.
WrightTrucker33, Upinsmoke and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Me and you both. I fell for it more times than can count .Upinsmoke and SteveScott Thank this.

Question .. Do you feel good about helping a fellow driver at Xmas time.. If you do then you know your answer about if you did the right thing.. after all the right thing is different for each person.
