Palliative care best works if I can go a week between blood transfusions, but the need is at least twice a week. Tomorrow I will get out of the hospital, with my fluids topped off, into the care of a highly regarded hospice company. They will provide ambulance transportation home, provide a bed and all medical equipment, and provide a nurse 24/7. When the time gets closer to meeting my Lord they will move me to a home that is set up for full hospice care.
All in all I'm in good hands. Most of the bucket list is done. My OKC brother is running a few more errands.
It's been a great life.LtlAnonymous, Sirscrapntruckalot, MACK E-6 and 5 others Thank this. -
My wife is in hospice now and I don't know how we would have given her the level of care she's getting without their help.
Your brothers sound like good guys. Don't forget, you have brothers here too, lots of them, and this place won't be the same without you.
Thank you for being here and God speed.Sirscrapntruckalot, Rugerfan, MACK E-6 and 9 others Thank this. -
