    Sacre bleu, tabernak!

First, the small minded gaggle that thinks this driver is one of the new Canucks, as suggested in an earlier post, you're probably wrong.
He sounds like a born and bred Ka Becker to me, eh!

Second, I don't think this driver was travelling excessively fast or is totally to blame, although under the law he probably will be.

I don't see visibility being really bad for the most part and the temperature is obviously somewhere below -14ºC where the road salt becomes inactive.
The snow is powdery and if a vehicle passes through the powder it creates a dust up that will reduce visibility to the following vehicles for a short period of time then settle again, which is what happened here I believe.

The first cop car got into the dry powdery drift, lost control and crashed which raised a cloud of snow which blinded the second cop who got caught in the deep drift, lost control and threw up an even bigger cloud of powder, which in turn blinded the trucker.

Piss poor driving on the cops part created a temporary white out and the trucker came upon a situation that was sudden and difficult to react to.
The trucker started to change lanes and came upon a situation you don't often see or expect, two cop cars involved in the same accident and blocking the highway which I suspect was a big shock to the trucker.

Had the cops not been amateurs and inadvertently created a dangerous scenario, or if the trucker had been able to crank it all the way over to the median shoulder and brushed up against the barrier he might have missed the cop cars and this might not have happened.

I lay blame on the cops conservatively at 60%, trucker 40%, the others involved at 100%, and that's my 2% opinion.

I vaguely recall this was on the truck driver's Facebook page or some such and he wasn't cited.

Or I could be thinking of something else all together... time for my pills.

I just assume he faced the same charges as the cop that crashed ahead of him. :)

That's okay it was new to me. My first reaction to the video was where did that driver think those cops were going, breakfast? I would have figured trouble ahead immediately.
