To put it simply, I’m sure I’m not the only one. I’ve stopped whenever I had to and whenever I calm down I’m ready to roll again. However, whether it’s reminiscing my past failures or trying really hard to make everything work out, calming myself down while the vehicle is in motion is not something I want. I’m doing my best to make sure nothing bad happens. Any tips on how to get my head normal??

There's a couple of over the counter supplements that works with some people.
St. John's Wort is the name of one. Get the 300 mg. at Walmart vitamin section.
Also, Anxiety & Stress Relief capsules by Natures Bounty at Walmart.

So you get anxiety while driving a semi truck?
You definitely chose the right job/career.Sons Hero, TripleSix, De Trucker and 11 others Thank this. -
What exactly is giving you anxiety? Driving a big heavy truck? Being in heavy traffic? Being away from home?

Take anxiety medication if it's not something you can change on your own.

Hey driver. My first thought was don't go throwing around words like normal lol. WTF is that? I've been driving for a year and I don't know if I've seen many normal drivers so far...
Only you know how intense and how frequent your worries are. Only you can gauge if your reactions highten your ability to drive or reduce it.
I'm slow when I'm in fairly full roads, I'm sure lots of experienced guys here want me to get off the road sometimes. But for me dense cars means at or below speed limit, dark means at or 5 below the limit, dark and rainy is 5 to 10 below. Why? Call it anxiety, caution, my own recognition of my relative inexperience and how unlikely that I will pull off some amazing save finding a broke down car in my lane around a corner or whatever...
I feel shaky and sometime nauseous if I feel like I had a potentially bad situation. I've seen a few bodies after accidents first on the scene. It can mentally replay. Like any time I'm in Atlanta lol.
I'm also gonna go out on a limb here and be sexist. I'm guessing you are a guy. Most response here will be from guys. In my experience at least 75% of guys are not able to give you sane response to your question. Anxiety is too close to emotions and/or God forbid a weakness. It's age/culture. Not a blame thing, just reality. Disregard responses that aren't helpful. St John's, meditation is SUPER awesome for lots of things, I personally take L- Theanine and drink green tea. Minimize caffeine for about 8 hours before sleep cuz it's long half life, and get good sleep...
Those are my thoughts.

Drive at speed you feel safe. Then drive 5 MPH less
You need to know how to handle a truck in the snow, my guess that's the weather your worrying about. You need to pull the trailer around corners or off/on ramps. That's how your in control of the trailer. Don't let it push you around corners or ramps.
The skidding or spinning tire ALWAYS want to lead or come around to the front. So to stay in control you need to keep the tires rolling. That could mean less brakes pressure. If your pulling a hill and see RPM jump up. You have a power spin on drive tires. So take you foot off the throttle and stop the spin. Their are more things you can do, but not sure if is snow driving you are worried about.BigDog Trucker, PE_T, Rideandrepair and 1 other person Thank this. -
Stop the truck, get yourself under control and push on. During your 10, self analyze and figure out what starts the snowball effect with you. Most importantly, you have to remember that you're not who you were. People generally fail because they want to. It's up to you...take the easy way out and fail or go the hard way and succeed.
My first 37yrs of life some might say I was a 'failure'.... juvenile delinquent, dropped out of high school, failed marriage, yadda yadda. My own dad told me I'd be dead or in prison before 25. Was shocked like a monkey the first time I'd held any job for longer than 6mos. I had anxiety, depression and all the good things that come along with both of them. I'm still doing the trucking thing after 12yrs, O/O for 3, so far. Every time I fall, I dust myself off and get back to it.
The only person who can make you fail is you.Deere hunter, Michelle33, rachi and 8 others Thank this. -
You guys are awesome !!! That is the reason I love this site. Genuine effort to help.
I believe that life is a fierce every day competition to survive, therefore the fear and anxiety is going to be within us all the time. The key is to recognize what triggers it . Talking with your family, with your close friends , exercises and meditation will help , it does for me though. Listening good music and podcasts that you can learn something new . I listen to Alan watts 1000 times a day . I play guitar when I’m waiting or taking breaks .
Wish you the best !!!Swine hauler, rolloverdude, rachi and 3 others Thank this.
