I appreciate your wisdom and incite on my question. That's all I was looking for, answers to my question. My brother drives a truck right now. He's OK at it, not great. That's why I'm asking about trucking. I'm not going to contemplate buying a bowling alley and have him run it to make his life better.

"FoolsErrand" pointed out he's worked for 3 different trucking companies whose purpose was pretty much what I was describing. That's nice to hear. It's good for families to watch out for those who aren't as blessed as they are. Most people don't have something like that going on in their lives. And then there's the shallow minded people who don't have it and don't like it that other's do. And then there are the people who are just d*cks. And to all those types of people; "I Don't suffer fools gladly".... Never have, never will. Maybe you'll wise up a little now and learn when to shut up.

You asked for advice and you got advice. If you don't like the advice or don't agree with it just ignore it and move on.
A lot of very experienced people took the time to give you some help.
Please don't insult the people who tried to help you just because they won't validate whatever it is you're trying to do.

2 dudes 1 truck! Sounds like a porn. I'd say go for it I don't see anything that could go south in this situation. Call the first episode "greasing the fifth wheel"

Sounds to me like you know a whole lot about everything. In fact, it sounds like you know so much that I’m actually surprised you even cane here to seek advice.
Every comment that I read has told you it’s a bad idea but you don’t like the answer or you THINK your smarter or know better. So, I’m going to give you some different advice. I think you should go for it! It’s a great way to make a living. Loads are plentiful you just gotta go get them. Using your negotiation skills you will be able to get freight at a premium rate. The world is yours, go for it.

Does this gut even realize that insurance for a brand new MC could easily cost him $25k or more upfront??? Not to mention all the other startup expenses related to starting a trucking company!!
