I think the lowest is .42 and the top is .50. We are evaluated every 4 months based on mpg, miles completed, incidents, etc... There is a lot factored into it. Don't quote me on the low end though. I don't aim for that lol.

I started out at .36 as a newbie to trucking. After 6 months newbies move to the performance pay. If you have experience, your starting pay is based on your experience. Since then, I haven't dropped below 49cpm. I do stay out for long periods of time though. Some guys take 4-5 days off per month and get anywhere from 47 on up (it varies).

    IluvCATS Thanks this.

PI&I Motor Express - teamsters. Don't know if the company is ok or not.

Website shows several terminals, including two in PA and a one in Tulsa,OK plus a few more.
Unions are seniority driven, so don't know what type runs you would get.

    Danhubbard93 Thanks this.

Is teamsters a big deal? I hear that's "the way to go" but I've never researched it. Seniority can be nice. Also thanks Chinatown. You don't know how much I appreciate it

Magnum also delivers to Allentown. I don't remember the customer of the top of my head.

In my opinion, the big plus with Teamsters is the "Five years and you're vested for a lifetime pension." Union companies are one of those love it or hate it deals.
UPS has the best pay; $.7042 cpm for solo driver and they hire off the street for their OTR jobs. I think you have to apply online.

I'm not saying all UPS drivers are bad drivers. But I'm a professional. I learned from my dad who's old-school and drove flat for 15 years. When I get passed by ups or FedEx doubles in the snow and they're doing 80, I wonder how they're so brainwashed into that.. I'm not a steering wheel holder, ya know? Maybe it's just some drivers?
